Created by visionary artist Martin Vargic, The Map of the Internet is a captivating visualization of the world wide web from 2020 to 2024, charting thousands of websites as distinct countries in a detailed and immersive landscape. This is more than just a map - it’s a reflection of the digital age.

The level of detail on the map is incredible, and the frame surrounding the main map is filled with fascinating statistics...

Over 1,000 Hours of Research and Design

To craft The Map of the Internet, Martin Vargic spent over a year meticulously researching, designing, and mapping out the digital world. With over 3,000 websites represented as countries, every detail was placed with precision - from social networks to e-commerce giants, each site is scaled by its web traffic and grouped by category. Drawing on historical map-making techniques, Vargic fused tradition with modern data to create a visual masterpiece that reflects the internet’s complexity today.
